Wipro Consumer Care International (WCCI) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Philippine personal care company S Brands Consumer Care Inc. for an undisclosed amount, strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia and expanding its portfolio of consumer brands.
The transaction marks Wipro Consumer Care’s 16th global acquisition and its second acquisition in the Philippines, reflecting the company’s strategy of growing through acquisitions in high-potential international markets.
As part of the deal, Wipro Consumer Care will add a portfolio of established personal care brands, including KERATINplus, AlcoPlus, DeoPlus, Empress, and Fiona Cologne, which have built strong consumer loyalty in the Philippine market.
The company said the Philippines has now become its third international market to generate annual revenue of more than ₹1,000 crore, highlighting the country’s growing importance in Wipro Consumer Care’s global business.
Kumar Chander, Chief Executive Officer of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting and Managing Director of Wipro Enterprises, said the acquisition is a significant milestone in the company’s ambition to become one of Southeast Asia’s leading personal care businesses.
“S Brands brings a portfolio of trusted, category-leading brands that complement our existing presence across the region and strengthen our position in key growth markets,” he said.
Founded in the Philippines, S Brands has established itself across multiple personal care categories, with several of its products enjoying leadership positions and strong consumer recognition.
Dick Sy Ong, Founder and President of S Brands, said partnering with Wipro would help the company accelerate its growth by leveraging Wipro’s global reach, research and development capabilities, and innovation expertise.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.
The deal is expected to further strengthen Wipro Consumer Care’s footprint in the fast-growing Southeast Asian personal care market as the company continues to expand its international business through strategic acquisitions.
