Orry Drinking Case: Why Is Bollywood Silent? Actors Unfazed By Their Socialite BFF’s Brazenness

Orry Vaishno Devi Drinking Case: An FIR was registered against the influencer and seven others was consuming alcohol and non-vegetarian in a hotel at the Vaishno Devi shrine base camp in Katra. The 29-year-old has remained at large since then. What is even more shocking is that other celebrities from the Hindi film industry appear unfazed and have also assumed radio silence in the matter.

Orry maintains a good friendship with the young Bollywood actors. Celebrities from the Hindi film industry are yet to react to the disregard of the law of the land and brazen defiance of rules displayed by Orry and his friends in Vaishno Devi.

While no one else from the industry has spoken up, actor Samir Soni has condemned Orry and other brazen influencer. Speaking to Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, the Baghban fame said, “It is wrong at so many levels. You are committing a crime by drinking where you are not supposed to drink. You are being insensitive. You are drinking in a place, in Vaishno Devi where people walk on all fours for miles in devotion. It is irresponsible that you are gloating about it, like you have done something good. You call yourself an influencer.” He then went on to blast the pattern of influencers spreading obscenity in name of clout on social media. “It is reflection of the socitry we live in. The more absurd you are, more you are considered cool.”

The actor also asserted that he has a 12-year-old daughter and he is worried for the kind of exposure she is getting. He added, “What is happening to our culture? We as a generation haver failed. We have failed to stop these people and say, ‘It is not cool to be using abusive language, or cracking these jokes.’” He concluded by saying that what Orry and his friends have done is ‘appalling’.
