Will Donald Trump pardon Ghislaine Maxwell in Epstein case? Here are the possibilities

Epstein Files: Ghislaine Maxwell's 'New Evidence' Bombshell Ahead Of Meeting With Feds

Ghislaine Maxwell will try hard to impress the administration with new information about Epstein so that she can get Trump’s pardon.

Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghisaine Maxwell is preparing to make a deal with the Donald Trump administration to secure his pardon in exchange for offering sensitive information, according to experts. After the administration closed the investigation into Epstein’s sex-offences and who else was involved in it, Maxwell started the narrative that she was never asked to offer her side of the story by the administration. Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard law professor who one represented Epstein, told New York Post that Maxwell is going to make a deal. “That’s the way things are done. They make deals with the Mafia, so I’m certain they are going to try to make a deal with her,” he said. Deputy attorney general Todd Blanche confirmed that he would meet Maxwell to find out whether she has credible information on Epstein to offer. But will Trump pardon her? That would depend on what information Maxwell offers. Maxwell’s brother Ian Maxwell said Ghislaine is assembling new evidence to present to the feds. She was given a 20-year sentence for recruiting women, mostly underage girls, to Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, though many accounts claim she was also an abuser. Ian Maxwell said Ghislaine will be putting before the court new material evidence that was not available during the trial. If Maxwell offers helpful testimony, especially exonerating Trump or revealing damaging info about Epstein’s network, a Trump administration or sympathetic DOJ could technically pursue sentence reduction (via Rule 35) or pardon. But pardoning a convicted sex trafficker could seriously damage Trump’s standing, as the Epstein issue has already created enough internal strife. Trump biographer Michael Wolff claimed Trump considered a pardon for Maxwell in 2020 but the idea was rejected by Trump advisers. Insiders believe that Trump is unlikely to pardon Maxwell as he wants everyone to move on from the Epstein case.
