India have been dealt a major setback ahead of the ODI series decider against England at Lord’s, with pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah ruled out due to a knee injury. Captain Shubman Gill confirmed the news at the toss after England won and elected to bat first.“We would have bowled. Boom misses out due to knee injury. KL, Prince and Arshdeep come in. We were looking to play four seamers. We were in a great position and lost too many wickets,” Gill said during the toss. While Bumrah’s absence is a significant blow for the visitors, KL Rahul returns to the playing XI who missed last ODI due to illness. India have also brought back Prince Yadav and Arshdeep Singh as they opt for a four-man pace attack in the winner-takes-all contest.England made one change, with Josh Tongue replacing Saqib Mahmood. Skipper Harry Brook, after opting to bat first, said Joe Root’s match-winning knock in the previous ODI provided the ideal blueprint for his side.”We’re gonna have a bat today.
