Rajasthan Royals‘ 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history on Monday, smashing the fastest IPL century by an Indian and becoming the youngest-ever to score a T20 hundred, as the Royals thumped Gujarat Titans by eight wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Chasing a daunting target of 210, Suryavanshi unleashed a breathtaking assault, hammering 101 off just 38 balls, laced with 11 sixes and seven fours. His 35-ball century shattered Yusuf Pathan’s long-standing record (37 balls, 2010) for the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian.

At just 14 years and 32 days, Suryavanshi also eclipsed Vijay Zol’s record to become the youngest centurion in T20 cricket, surpassing Zol’s feat at 18 years and 118 days.
Who’s that IPL player?
Opening alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryavanshi added a whirlwind 166-run stand in just 11.5 overs, flattening a Titans attack featuring Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Prasidh Krishna, Rashid Khan, and Sai Kishore.
Jaiswal stayed unbeaten on a fluent 70 off 40 balls as Royals cruised home in just 15.5 overs, finishing at 212/2 with 25 balls to spare.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans posted a strong 209/4, riding on skipper Shubman Gill’s 84 (50 balls) and Jos Buttler’s 50* (26 balls). However, their efforts were overshadowed once Suryavanshi set the stage ablaze with his fearless strokeplay.
The emphatic win lifted Royals to eighth in the standings with six points, keeping their slim playoff hopes alive, while Titans slipped to third after their third defeat in nine games.
Brief scores:
Gujarat Titans: 209/4 in 20 overs (Sai Sudharsan 39, Shubman Gill 84, Jos Buttler 50 not out; Maheesh Theekshana 2/35)
Rajasthan Royals: 212/2 in 15.5 overs (Yashasvi Jaiswal 70 not out, Vaibhav Suryavanshi 101, Riyan Parag 32 not out; Rashid Khan 1/24)
Result: RR won by 8 wickets.
