For a trailer packed with more than 30 actors, helicopters, action sequences and a barrage of comic gags, one of the biggest takeaways from Welcome To The Jungle has been surprisingly simple: audiences are excited to see Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty together again. The two have been working together for more than three decades. And this comedy is all set to release in cinemas this Friday.

CBFC makes changes in the comedy

There have been 18 modifications that have been made as per reports. The duration is 2 hours and 44 minutes. The CBFC has modified the sensual scene between Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez we see in the trailer.

There have been some alterations in the dialogues too. The dialogue “Kala paida hua… koayla hai” with “Saadah paida hua… namoona hua hai”, deleting the “Panni of Kashmir” dialogue and changing a line mentioning the “Gorkha Regiment” to “tum army se ho?”. The word “Azaruddeen” was replaced with “Allaudin”, while “Andha” was muted and substituted with “dheela”. References to “General” were also changed to “officer” and “sir”.

For an entire generation of moviegoers, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty were fixtures of the action-comedy universe. They emerged around the same period, built their careers in the action genre and eventually discovered an effortless on-screen camaraderie that filmmakers repeatedly returned to.

Mounted on the scale of the comedy entertainer’s sprawling ensemble cast, the song embraces the spirit of collective celebration, featuring the entire ensemble in a fresh look. The visuals are packed with colour and a sense of bonhomie, echo the old-school Bollywood songs that were less about choreography and more about people joining in and having a good time!

Composer, lyricist and singer Anand Raj Anand, who has built a career creating crowd-pleasing hits, says the idea was to make a song that people could instantly connect with. “When I started working on Deewane Hain, I wasn’t thinking about trends. I wanted to create something that feels familiar the moment you hear it. This is the kind of song that people can sing together at celebrations, weddings or festivals. We have grown up with songs that brought people together, and I wanted to capture that emotion again,” he tells us.
