After performing to sold-out audiences across the US and UK, the Dusk Till Dawn singer made a pit stop in Mexico at the Palacio de los Deportes as part of the tour. Last night, he performed in the city for the first time, and moments from the show have taken the internet by storm. However, one emotional sight got everyone’s heart when Zayn sang the iconic song Night Changes amid the passing of Liam Payne.

For the first time, Zayn Malik’s Mexican fans got the opportunity to watch the British singer’s music live as he visited the country for his Stairway to the Sky world tour. The former One Direction member is scheduled to perform three shows at the Palacio de los Deportes. His debut performance took place on the evening of March 25 and was nothing short of spectacular, with several videos from the night going viral. Among these, his heartfelt rendition of One Direction’s hit track Night Changes has bluffed the internet upside down.

In a viral clip, Zayn Malik is seen performing Night Changes on stage in Mexico. After the performance, he addressed the audience, saying, “I haven’t sung this song in 10 years. Thank you, that was amazing, I almost cried…”

This performance not only marks his return to the music scene but also carries deep emotional weight, coming after the sudden passing of his former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne.

Since leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik has carved out a successful solo career, becoming a major figure in international pop music. In 2024, he launched his first world tour, ‘Stairway to the Sky’, bringing his music to audiences across various countries. 

The tour started in the UK, with venues accommodating 2,000 to 3,000 people, while his U.S. shows have drawn up to 7,000 attendees. His next performances are scheduled for March 27th and 28th in Mexico.
