NEW DELHI: On the eve of their high-stakes IPL 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium, fans were treated to a wholesome moment off the field as Mumbai Indians’ ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah reunited with Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.
In a video shared by CSK on social media, Bumrah is seen walking over during his training session to greet Dhoni, who was padded up for nets. The two shared a warm hug before getting into an animated conversation, reflecting their deep mutual respect.

The camaraderie offered a rare breather amid the intensity of the ongoing season, especially as both teams gear up for what has traditionally been the IPL’s biggest rivalry. While CSK’s poor form has dulled the edge of the fixture somewhat, Mumbai Indians — on a mini resurgence with two back-to-back wins — will view Sunday’s game as a chance to consolidate their position.
