Vivek Ramaswamy dropped from tech conference after video of Indian-origin woman saying ‘kick Trump’ goes viral

A keynote slot for Ex-DOGE lead Vivek Ramaswamy quietly disappeared from an Indian tech conference after an old video resurfaced showing a speaker urging attendees to “kick the butt of Donald Trump” during a discussion on immigration and H1-B work visas.Ramaswamy had been listed as a featured speaker this week, but his name and profile have since been removed from the event website, according to AF Post. The undated video was filmed at a meeting of IT union workers in Seattle. It shows a woman on stage telling the crowd to “kick the bu** of Donald Trump. Kick his a**. Really. Let’s face it, kick him. Twice.”The comments were met with applause as she went on to say that Indian tech professionals should not fear the administration’s stance on immigration. She went on to mock Trump’s anti-immigrant positions and also got a little personal, saying, “two of his three wives were immigrants,” and joking that immigrants “do all the hard work that no other person wants to do”, including marrying him because “no other American would want to be with him.”She told the audience that “the president is not god, the president is not making the laws in the country though he thinks he makes the laws,” before urging attendees to rely on their organisation for support. “When you go back home, stop worrying at night, when you panic and worry that means you have not become a member of ITServe; that means you don’t believe in your own power and the power of unity as an organisation.”ITServe Alliance represents more than 2,200 members and has backed Indian-origin Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi’s HIRE Act which seeks to double the H-1B cap.The clip went viral as the H-1B row intensified. Trump recently took a softer stance on H-1B visas, saying the United States needs skilled migrant workers to fill its industries and that America lacks domestic talent. In September, Trump had issued a $100,000 fee for H-1B petitions.
