She authored several books, including The New Thought Police (2001), The Death of Right and Wrong (2003), and The New American Revolution (2005), which critique left-wing ideologies and advocate for personal liberty.Bruce has a complex background, having been a liberal activist in the 1990s, serving as president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) from 1990 to 1996. She resigned after controversies, including a censure by NOW for comments deemed racially insensitive during the O.J. Simpson trial.
