At Jio Platforms’ listing event, Isha Ambani paid tribute to Mukesh Ambani and Dhirubhai Ambani, highlighting Jio’s financial performance and its commitment to customers and investors.
Reliance Retail Executive Director Isha Ambani on Wednesday thanked investors and customers for their trust in Reliance and Jio, pledging to honour their confidence by continuing to build with integrity.
Addressing Jio Platforms’ listing event, Isha said the milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company. “And this is just the beginning,” she said.
She recalled Reliance’s first public offering in 1977, when the company raised Rs 2.82 crore at a valuation of Rs 10 crore. She said her grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani, believed ordinary Indians deserved a stake in the country’s economic growth.
“My grandfather believed that anyone in this country, however humble their beginnings, deserved a share in India’s growth… Not as spectators. As owners,” she said.
Isha said Jio had generated approximately $15.5 billion in revenue and around $8 billion in earnings during the year, achieving the scale within just 10 years.
“Jio is built on my father’s first principles: create real value for the customer, and strong earnings will follow. That is our dharma,” she said.
She credited her father, Mukesh Ambani, for his vision and determination, saying his ability to pursue ambitious ideas had opened new possibilities for millions of Indians.
“Different industries. Different decades. The same faith in India — the same unshakeable conviction that our best is yet to come,” she said.
Isha also thanked Jio’s employees, customers and family members for their contributions to the company’s journey. She said she and her brothers, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani, would carry forward the family’s commitment to investors.
“We will honour your trust with integrity, and we will keep building. Because, as my grandfather taught us, growth is life,” she said.
She concluded by expressing gratitude to Mukesh Ambani and inviting her brother, Akash Ambani, managing director of Jio, to address the gathering.
