In the Philippines, at least 10 people died, including seven fishermen whose boat capsized, and five others remain missing, with nearly 700,000 affected and 25,000 taking refuge in emergency shelters. In Taiwan, heavy rains caused a barrier lake in Hualien County to overflow, destroying a bridge and flooding roads in Guangfu township; authorities reported 14 deaths, 34 injuries, and 124 people unaccounted for.Hong Kong recorded sustained winds of 195 kph (120 mph), while Macau suspended power in flooded low-lying areas.
