India captain Shubman Gill finally won the toss after going through six consecutive losses with the coin as the hosts opted to bat against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India go into the second and final Test of the series unchanged. West Indies, meanwhile, have made two changes after the innings and 140 runs hammering in the opener at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Windies have brought in Anderson Phillip and Tevim Imlach for Brandon King and Johann Layne.Shubman Gill, who had taken over as India captain from Rohit Sharma with his journey beginning in England, had lost all five tosses during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He then subsequently didn’t get the luck of the coin in Ahmedabad either. That changed when Roston Chase’s call for heads came out tails.WATCH: Shubman Gill breaks toss losing streak!Gill had joined Tom Latham as another captain to lose six straight tosses as Test skipper. Consistency is key, to repeat performances and maintain performances,” said Gill to Murali Karthik at the toss.Having also taken up the ODI captaincy from Rohit, Gill said he was ‘very excited for the future.’ He also revealed that India have not made any change for the second Test.Chase said West Indies would have batted as well if the coin toss had gone their way. “We’d have batted first, pitch looks dry. We had some meetings, some deep discussions about our batting. Want to bat 90 overs. Gotta play every ball on its merit,” he said.West Indies Playing XI: John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Alick Athanaze, Shai Hope, Roston Chase(c), Tevin Imlach(w), Justin Greaves, Jomel Warrican, Khary Pierre, Anderson Phillip, Jayden SealesIndia Playing XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Dhruv Jurel(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
