Samsung and LG rival confirms ultimate TV upgrade with a very surprising price

Thought your TV was big? Wait until you see this giant gogglebox that’s coming to UK homes. It’s called the Hisense UX TV, and it measures in at a whopping 116 inches. That’s one of the largest screens you can buy and should make movie night feel like you’re at the local cinema. Samsung and LG both offer screens that push things to 100 inches, but Hisense clearly wants to take things up a notch and claim all the bragging rights.

To make sure the visuals stay pixel-packed, the Hisense UX TV comes brimming with revolutionary features, including an Infinity Vision display with an advanced Hi-View AI Engine X that optimises picture, sound, and scenario settings in real time.

This TV is also incredibly bright—8,000 nits— plus features epic CineStage sound created in collaboration with the iconic Opéra de Paris. That should mean content sounds as good as it looks.

Other extras include to full smart features with access to all the most popular streaming apps and a clever remote that features am alarm so it won’t get lost forever down the side of the sofa.

Having already received several prestigious ‘Best of CES’ Awards following its unveiling at the trade show, the UX has also been hailed as “delivering the richest colours seen on an LCD” and “redefining immersion” by expert Vincent Teoh from HDTVtest.

This certainly looks like the ultimate TV, but it comes at a cost. Those wanting one will need a whopping £24,999 in their bank account. Ouch!

It will go on sale this month at stores including Selfridges, Harrods, Currys and Harvey Norman.

A slightly more compact 100-inch UX will also be available in the UK later this year.

If that sounds a little pricey, don’t panic. Currys has just launched a deal that is offering up to £250 back when you trade in what you already own.

There are swathes of new screens available as part of this promotion including models from Sony, Samsung, LG and more.
