Orry Vaishno Devi Drinking Case: Orhan Awatramani has been embroiled in legal trouble after he uploaded a video of him enjoying with his friends inside a hotel room in Katra, a base camp of Vaishno Devi. In the video, we can see alcohol served to the individuals. Orry was accompanied by 7 other friends, including a Russian citizen Anastasila Arzamaskina. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has booked all 8 individuals under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) and soon a notice will be sent to all to join the probe. However, do you know what punishment they can face for consuming alcohol at holy places?
Section 223 of BNS addresses disobedience to orders duly promulgated by a public servant, punishing individuals who, knowing such an order, disobey it, causing or tending to cause harm or risk of harm to others or a riot or affray. The punishment depends on the consequences of the disobedience.
– If the disobedience causes or is likely to cause obstruction, annoyance or injury to someone lawfully employed then, the punishment is imprisonment for up to six months or a fine of up to ₹2,500, or both.
– If the disobedience causes or is likely to cause danger to human life, health, or safety, or causes or is likely to cause a riot or affray then, the punishment is imprisonment of either description for up to one year or a fine of up to ₹5000 or both.

According to our sources, Orry left Katra with her friends on Sunday, March 16. He crossed Jammu-Kashmir by road. An FIR has been lodged at Katra Police Station against Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasila Arzamaskina for violating the District Magistrate’s (DM) order and hurting religious sentiments. Notice will be served to him and his friends in a day or two as per the set down procedure.
“A special team, under the supervision of SP Katra, DySP Katra, and SHO Katra, was formed to investigate the matter. Notices will be sent to all accused individuals, including Orry, instructing them to join the probe. SSP Reasi has reiterated that anyone violating the law, especially by indulging in activities like alcohol or drug consumption at religious sites, will be dealt with strictly,” Reasi Police said.
Apart from being an influencer and friend of celebs, he has also made cameo appearances in Ananya Panday’s Call Me Bae, and Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Nadaaniyan.
