Not Samantha, But This Robinhood Actress Was The First Choice For Pushpa Song Oo Antava



Samantha Ruth Prabhu enthralled audience with her performance on Oo Antava in the first installment of Pushpa starring Allu Arjun in lead role. But did you know Sam was not the first choice for the popular track?

Oo Antava emerged as a chartbuster across five languages and is still played today in several occasions. During the trailer launch of Nithiiin and Sreeleela’s upcoming film Robinhood, producer Ravi Shankar revealed that Samantha was not the first choice for the song. He mentioned Ketika Sharma was initially offered, but due to schedule issues, the opportunity went to Citadel actress.

He stated, “We initially wanted to approach Ketika Sharma for the special song Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava in Pushpa before Samantha. But somehow it did not materialise and we missed it, and this time it happened. She was extremely back then when we approached her but she agreed to do the film.” For the unversed, Ketika Sharma featured in her first item song Adhi Dhawan Surprisu from Nithiin and Sreeleela’s actioner.

Ketika Sharma predominantly works in Telugu films. She began her career as a social media influence and became internet sensation for her Dubsmash videos. In 2021, she made her acting debut with Romantic opposite Akash Puri.

 In the same year, she also appeared opposite Naga Shaurya in Lakshya. In 2022, Sharma appeared in Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga opposite Panja Vaisshnav Tej. Ketika appeared opposite Sai Durgha Tej in the 2023 film, Bro and it emerged as the fifth highest grossing film of the year and her first commercial success.
