NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals are redefining Powerplay batting in IPL 2025, and they’re doing it with brute force. The 2008 champions have turned the first six overs into their personal six-hitting zone, smashing a staggering 37 sixes — the most by any team this season. It’s a clear reflection of their fearless brand of cricket and intent to dominate from the get-go.
Rajasthan Royals sit comfortably ahead of Kolkata Knight Riders (29), Mumbai Indians (26), and Punjab Kings (25) in this six-hitting spree.

Chennai Super Kings have struggled to find that early firepower, languishing at the bottom with just five Powerplay sixes — a surprising stat for one of the league’s most storied franchises.

Poll

Do you believe Rajasthan Royals can maintain their six-hitting dominance throughout the season?

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a competitive 205 for five, powered by fluent half-centuries from Virat Kohli (70 off 42) and Devdutt Padikkal (50 off 27).
The duo added 95 for the second wicket on a slightly tricky surface.
Late cameos from Jitesh Sharma (20* off 10) and Tim David (23 off 15) gave RCB the finishing kick.
