LSG vs RR, IPL: Ravindra Jadeja dedicates POTM award to 'education minister of Gujarat'; here's why

Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja said he was happy after his performance against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Wednesday in IPL 2026 match, adding that it felt good to contribute to the win and receive the Player of the Match award, which he dedicated to his wife Rivaba Jadeja. He said the pitch was not easy to bat on as there was movement, so his plan was to stay at the crease and build his innings.Talking about his bowling, Jadeja said the ball was holding a bit, which helped him change his pace.He added that he expected Nicholas Pooran to attack and used variations to get him, saying he had the batter “in his pocket.”“Feeling good, getting Man of the Match and winning. I would like to dedicate this award to the education minister of Gujarat (which is his wife, Rivaba Jadeja). She said yesterday that I will do well and I did. Wicket wasn’t that easy because the ball was swinging and seaming. I just wanted to play longer. He’s (Pooran) in my pocket (chuckles). A random thought came into my mind. The ball was gripping a little bit. I knew I’d get a little hold. I knew he might play that shot at some stage, and I was mixing my pace. Today I looked to bowl slow,” Jadeja said after the match.Jadeja scored 43 off 29 balls and also took a key wicket. Rajasthan Royals won the match by 40 runs, with their bowlers keeping control during the chase.Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger led the bowling effort as Rajasthan ended their two-match losing run.Jadeja was named Player of the Match for his performance with both bat and ball. With this win, Rajasthan Royals moved to second place in the points table with 10 points from seven matches, while Lucknow Super Giants remained ninth.
