NEW DELHI: Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer scored fluent half-centuries as Punjab Kings defeated five-time champions Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.After Mumbai Indians posted a competitive 195/6, Prabhsimran (80 off 39 balls) and Iyer (66 off 35 balls) led a commanding chase, helping Punjab Kings reach 198/3 in just 16.3 overs. The target of 196 was achieved with 21 balls to spare, sealing a dominant win. It was also Punjab Kings’ third consecutive victory over Mumbai Indians.With this emphatic win, Punjab Kings created history by becoming the first team to register six IPL wins against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.Punjab Kings have enjoyed strong success at the venue, winning six of their 11 matches against Mumbai Indians there.
