InterGlobe Aviation, IndiGo’s parent company, reported a narrower consolidated net loss for the September quarter of FY27, even as revenue rose 26% year-on-year.
InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,879 crore for the second quarter of financial year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27), narrowing 27 per cent from Rs 2,582 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The airline’s financial performance improved year-on-year as revenue jumped 26 per cent, according to the company’s quarterly results reported on October 29.
The reduction in losses marks an improvement over the year-ago period, although the company continued to remain in the red during the September quarter.
IndiGo, India’s largest airline by market share, operates in a sector exposed to fluctuations in fuel prices, currency movements, operating expenses and passenger demand. Its quarterly performance is closely watched for signals on air travel demand and cost pressures in the aviation industry.
