ICC chairman Jay Shah felicitated in Mumbai ahead of BCCI Annual General Meeting

The Mumbai Cricket Association hosted a felicitation ceremony for ICC chairman Jay Shah at a gala dinner in Mumbai on Saturday. The event was organised ahead of the BCCI Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 28. Jay Shah’s decade-long journey has been instrumental in cricket’s development. His leadership has focused on strengthening domestic cricket structure and enhancing the Indian Premier League while implementing reforms in women’s cricket.Under his guidance, women’s cricket has seen significant advancement with substantial increases in tournament prize money. This move has brought greater equality and recognition for women cricketers.The upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, beginning September 30, will showcase these developments. This edition is set to feature increased global participation, enhanced broadcast coverage, and the largest prize pool in women’s cricket history.“Jay Shah’s commitment to empowering cricket at every level has been extraordinary. His reforms, especially for women’s cricket, have created opportunities and inspired millions worldwide.
