NEW DELHI: Indian cricket star Rohit Sharma showcased a heartwarming moment of kindness during a recent practice session at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park ahead of India’s upcoming ODI series against Australia.During the session, a young fan tried to approach Rohit but was stopped by a security guard. The 38-year-old batting veteran quickly stepped in, scolding the guard and ensuring the child was allowed through, drawing applause from onlookers.

On the field, Rohit looked in excellent form, playing crisp cover drives and graceful sweep shots as fans cheered “Hitman” throughout the session. Former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar oversaw the training, which also included young Mumbai cricketer Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, watched the two-hour session from the sidelines.
