His fans are up in arms against him for the first time!
Ahead of the release of his film ‘Sardaar Ji 3’, renowned singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been trolled for working with Pakistani artiste Hania Aamir.
The film is the trequel of the Punjabi horror comedy franchise. It has been directed by Amar Hundal, and produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu of White Hill Studios, alongside Story Time Productions.
Diljit shared the trailer of the film on his Instagram handle on Sunday night. The actor said the film, which was previously slated to have a worldwide release, will now come out overseas June 27.
“‘Sardaar Ji 3’ Releasing 27th June overseas only. Fadh Lao Bhoond Dian Lattan,” read the caption.
The comments section was soon flooded anger and disappointment as netizens called out the ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ actor for working with a Pakistani artiste.
One of the social media users wrote: “Boycott,” while another said, “Diljit Dosanjh is a traitor.” “Country first, boycott @diljitdosanjh @teamdiljitglobal,” commented another netizen.

The controversy comes two months after the terror attack in Pahalgam that took place on April 22 in which 26 civilians were killed, resulting in escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan.
Soon after the terror attack, the social media accounts of Pakistani artists, including Hania, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan were banned in India.
Fawad’s film with Vaani Kapoor, ‘Abir Gulaal’, slated to be released in May, was also not allowed to be released in India.
