Early trends have Congress chief Kharge worried, dials INDIA bloc partners for huddle – Firstpost



I.N.D.I.A bloc next meeting will take place at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge

While only early trends have come in hitherto, the projections seem to have thrown Congress in a tizzy. As counting so far has put the Congress in a tight spot in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh as well as Chhattisgarh, president Mallikarjun Kharge Sunday dialed I.N.D.I. Alliance partners, calling for a meeting in Delhi on 6 December.

The meeting will take place at Kharge’s residence.

The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) bloc had last met almost three months ago.

Counting of votes for the 2023 Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh is underway on Sunday. The election results, which will be cleared during the day, is seen crucial as the polling in the states have been considered as semi-final before the impending 2024 Lok Sabha polls which is expected to be held in less than six months.

As per the latest trends, BJP is making a huge gains in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while Congress is seen getting a comfortable win in Telangana and narrow lead in Chhattisgarh.
