Class act! Yashasvi Jaiswal ahead of Virat Kohli in rare record

NEW DELHI: It was a pure display of class from Rajasthan Royals’ star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal during the IPL 2025 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Walking in to open the innings, Jaiswal faced Bhuvneshwar Kumar and launched the very first delivery into the stands for a stunning six.
With that audacious stroke, Jaiswal cemented his place in IPL history as the player with the most sixes off the first ball of an innings — achieving the feat three times. The fearless left-hander tops a list that includes Naman Ojha, Mayank Agarwal, Sunil Narine, Virat Kohli, Robin Uthappa, Phil Salt, and Priyansh Arya, all of whom have done it once.
