Chhaava, Stree 2: Bollywood’s Biggest Box Office Hits Of 2024 And 2025 Have THIS In Common

Stree 2 And Chhaava: Both the films shattered box office records ever since release. The Shraddha Kapoor starrer hit the big screens on August 15, 2024, coinciding with the Independence Day holiday. The horror comedy became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie ever by surpassing all biggies. This year, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava is enjoying a similar success.

While Stree 2 and Chhaava boast a completely different roster of cast, belong to different genres and are directed by different people, there is one thing uniting the blockbusters- the production house. Both the movies have been produced under the Maddock Entertainment banner. The production house is basking in success delivering consecutive hits for the Hindi film industry for 2024 and 2025, till now.

While Chhaava is leaping at the box office, it remains miles away from achieving the mammoth target set by the Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer. On the 22nd day of release, Stree 2 had minted ₹5.35 crore at the domestic box office. The Laxman Utekar-directed historical drama collected ₹6.25 crore on day 22 in the Hindi version alone, which was also the fourth Friday of its release (March 7).
