Awarapan 2 Day 1 Advance Booking: Emraan Hashmi is all set to reprise his role as Shivam on the big screens. The sequel of hit Awarapan is just a few days away from hitting the theatres, and ahead of it, the makers have opened the ticket window for the movie buffs to purchase in advance. The film, which will be clashing with Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947, is performing well and has also beaten the sales of the highly anticipated film of 2026.
According to Sacnilk, the movie has so far sold 44873 tickets across 3308 shows in India, earning ₹1.56 crore. The maximum has been earned in Maharashtra (₹36.05 lakh). Seeing the craze around the movie, the shows are likely to increase.
Helmed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. Apart from Emraan, the film also stars Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi and Shabana Azmi.
Sunny Deol starrer, on the other hand, is still earning in lakhs. So far, the film has sold 12864 tickets across 3116 shows in India, earning ₹42.77 lakh. The maximum has been earned in Delhi (12.23 lakh). However, it is believed that the collection might spike with the increase in shows.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced under Aamir Khan Productions, the film also stars Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles. The plot is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition. The film follows a family whose lives are irrevocably altered as violence, fear and forced migration tear apart communities that once lived side by side. Its music is composed by AR Rahman, while the lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar.
Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947 will clash at the box office on August 14.
