Anne Hathaway has been in the news since she announced her third pregnancy and looked absolutely stunning during the promotions of The Odyssey. The actress is back to work, this time for her upcoming film The End of Oak Street. The actress is busy giving major maternity goals with her fashion, but some are trolling the actress for showing off her baby bump and calling it a “fake”.
On Sunday, Anne was seen at the first premiere event of The End of Oak Street in Los Angeles. For the red carpet event, the actress wore low-rise jeans paired with a striking silk crop top. She opted for nude makeup and a high pony.
This look was heavily criticised by netizens and called her bump fake. This didn’t go down well with the actress, and she subtly shut down the trolls.
She took to her Instagram handle and shared a video offering a peek into her day at the red carpet event, in which she was beaming with joy. In the caption, she wrote, “Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
Soon after, her fans came in support and praised the actress. A user wrote, “I love how you always silence the haters”. Another wrote, “How there are people so envious that they question their belly! Go to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world.” A third user wrote, “Amazing! What agility she has with that belly 😍 she’s a princess”.
It is a sci-fi survival film helmed by David Robert Mitchell. The film is about a family who starts to notice unusual events in their neighbourhood, involving appearances of prehistoric creatures. Apart from Anne, the film also stars Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella and Christian Convery in lead roles.
The film is slated to release in the United States on August 14.
