Adolescence Season 2 In The Works After Netflix Series Becomes Most Viewed? Creator Stephen Graham Spills The Beans



Netflix’s latest crime drama Adolescence has become a hot topic since its release and has won over Indian audiences, including Bollywood celebrities Alia Bhatt and Hansal Mehta among others. In a recent interaction, the creator of the show has hinted if there would be a second season or not.

In an interview with Variety, when Stephen Graham was asked about the second part of the show. He replied, “Possibly, let’s see how the figures are. But yeah, there’s the possibility of developing another story.” He further said, “A prequel to Adolescence, that’s certainly not going to happen. But there’s so much mileage in the one-shot and so much mileage in investing into human nature again and looking at something else”.

However, people have mixed reaction in regard to the creator’s hint at second season. One user wrote, “Sometimes people just gottat accept that a series is good with the way it is because of it’s limited episodes and stop pushing for season 2. what they should push for is for more good roles for the people in Adolescence”. Another user wrote, “The brainwashing in people is strong”. “Season 2 should focus on the girl and her family’s story to explore female experience living with these incense”, wrote the third user.

The four-part Netflix series Adolescence has achieved an outstanding 99 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising it as a masterpiece. The compelling drama centres on a 13-year-old boy accused of murder and the profound impact it has on his life and those close to him. Graham, who co-wrote the series, also portrays the boy’s father.

The mini-series premiered on Netflix on 13 March 2025. Apart from Stephen Graham, the show also starred Owen Cooper, Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, Faye Marsay, Christine Tremarco and Kaine Davis among others.
