Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja denies divorce rumours

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have finally broken silence over the recent speculation about their marriage, firmly denying any rift between them. The couple celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at their residence putting to rest all rumours suggesting an imminent divorce. Their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, was also present.

In a candid media interaction, Sunita expressed her unwavering commitment to her husband, adding that they would never separate.

“If something had happened, then we would have been so close today? There would have been a distance between us. No one can separate us, not even God if He comes from up above… My Govinda is only mine and no one else’s. Until we open our mouths, please do not say anything on this,” she said, requesting the media as well as fans not to speculate, spread and trust any rumours about them.

The couple was all smiles as they distributed sweets to the paparazzi gathered outside their home. Govinda looked suave in a bright red kurta while Sunita, dressed in a deep burgundy saree and traditional Maharashtrian jewellery, oozed grace and confidence.

Earlier, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, had dismissed the divorce rumours terming them misleading.

Govinda and Sunita have been married for over three decades. They kept their marriage under wraps until the birth of their daughter, Tina Ahuja, in 1989. The couple welcomed their second child, Yashvardhan in 1997.
