Veera Dheera Sooran Box Office Collection Day 2: Vikram Starrer Struggles, Witnesses No Growth



Veera Dheera Sooran Box Office Collection Day 2: Despite positive reviews, Chiyaan Vikram’s latest release Veera Dheera Sooran is not performing well at the box office. The movie faced delay in its release and hit the big screens on March 27 only after late evening. Its Hindi release has been stayed by four weeks due to financial issues between the makers and distributors. The collection in Tamil, meanwhile, are not looking good.

Despite its full-fledged release on March 28 in Tamil territories, Veera Dheera Sooran biz on day 2 was in the same range as the opening day. While the film ran only post 6 pm on its release day, it managed to open at ₹3.4 crore. On day 2, the collections were in the same range. The film’s 2-day biz stands at ₹6.65 crore, with majority of its collections coming in from Vikram’s home territory of Tamil Nadu.

Interestingly, Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan is eating into the the biz of the Tamil film in some regions of the state. The Malayalam film, which released in multiple Indian languages on March 27, collected ₹70 lakh in Tamil on day 1 and ₹30 lakh on day 2.

SU Arun Kumar, best known for films such as Sethupathi, Sindhubaadh and Chithha, has written and directed Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran. It also feature SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan and Suraj Venjaramo in pivotal roles. The makers have divided the movie into two parts. The second part of the film has been released first.
