Alka Yagnik Faces Backlash For Her Comments On Terrorist Osama Bin Laden, Netizens Say ‘Don’t Give Unnecessary…’



Alka Yagnik is one of the most talented singers and has given voice in several languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Tamil to name a few. An old video has surfaced on internet, which is now going viral where she has reacted about her songs been found out at terrorist Osama Bin Laden’s hideout.

In an interview with film producer Anu Ranjan, Alka Yagnik was told that when CIA had raided terrorist Osama Bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad in 2011, they found several recordings of her song along with other Bollywood music by Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.

The veteran singer replied to this and said, “Is it my fault? Osama Bin Laden jo bhi hai jaisa bhi hai, uske Mandar ek chota sa Malakar hoga Kahin”. As soon as the video grabbed traction on internet,    many were upset with her response and took to social media platform to give their  views. One user wrote, “Aunty pagla gaye hain”. Another user wrote, “Let Mr. Udit Narayan kiss some sense into her.”. “90s Bollywood is losing their plot. Udit Narayan and now her.” “What she needs some attention, this can mess us your life. Try something which is working”, write the third user.

The title track from Salman Khan and Madhuri Dikshit’s Dil Tera AashiqAjnabee Mujhko Itna Bata from Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha, and Tu Chand Hai Poonam Ka from Jaane Tamanna were among the music that was discovered on Osama Bin Laden’s laptops.

She is one of the most prominent singers of 90s era Bollywood and received several accolades including two National Film Awards. In her career spanning decades, she has sung songs for more than thousands of movies and recorded over twenty-one thousand songs in over 25 different languages.

She made her debut in the musical world with the film Payal Ki Jhankaar in (1980). This was followed by Laawaris (1981) with the song Mere Angane Mein, followed by the film Hamari Bahu Alka (1982). However, she got her big break with the song Ek Do Teen from the film Tezaab (1988).
