124 drones downed, civilians killed: Russia-Ukraine cross-border attacks escalate
Casualties took place on both sides of Russia-Ukraine border after drone strikes

Civilians were killed on both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian border over the weekend as drone and artillery attacks intensified, local officials said.In Russia’s Bryansk region, a Ukrainian drone hit a car near the border, killing two people, the region’s acting governor said. Russian air defences intercepted 124 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions over 12 hours, the Defence Ministry said.In Ukraine, Russian shelling and drone attacks left one person dead and another wounded near Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the Russian-controlled parts of Donetsk region, two people were killed in Ukrainian drone strikes in Horlivka and Makiivka.In the northern Sumy region, a 66-year-old man was killed when a Russian drone struck his house. In Zaporizhzhia, nine people, including two children, were injured in overnight attacks that partially destroyed a residential building.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Ukrainian forces struck the Titan-Barrikady facility in Volgograd, a major industrial complex where Russia produces artillery and missile components.In Russia’s Rostov region, a Ukrainian drone struck a World War II museum, injuring 12 people. Ukraine’s SBU also reported a drone strike on an oil pumping station east of Moscow, calling it critical to fuel supplies for the capital.Separately, a Ukrainian drone strike in Russia’s Krasnodar region killed one person and wounded another, setting an oil refinery on fire and damaging a power line and gas pipeline. Russian officials said 213 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the weekend.
