₹12,500 To Play Rajinikanth’s Wife In Jailer 2? Mollywood Actress Warns About Fake Casting Call For Role In Sequel

Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 is in the making and pre-production work on the project is underway. As the sequel to one of 2023’s biggest hits is set to go on the floors, an actress alleged that she was duped in the name of being offered a supporting role in Rajinikanth’s movie.

Shiny Sarah is known for her roles in Malayalam movies. She is popular for essaying mother roles in movies like Maheshinte Prathikaram, Evide, Kakshi Amminipilla, Sathyam Paranjal Vishwasikumo and many more. The actress shared that an alleged casting call led her to believe that she could be a part of Jailer 2 as a character’s wife in the movie.

She was instructed that she would need a Tamil artist’s card to land this role and was asked to transfer ₹12,500 for it. However, Shiny sensed something wrong and did not pay any money online. Turns out, she avoided getting duped.

Shiny Sarah revealed that a person named Suresh Kumar insisted that she transfer the requested money as soon as possible. However, the way Kumar pressed the urgency of the matter, made her suspicious. Shiny shared that she also reached out to some of the Mollywood actors to confirm the casting call and the requested sum of money.

“I told him I needed at least two days to share the full amount. He said I should pay the first instalment as soon as possible. This made me suspicious,” she shared. Shiny later tried to contact Maala Parvathi and Lijomol who had previously acted in Kollywood. When she was unable to reach them, she then contacted another artist who said an artist does not require an artist card to get work in the industry.
