New Delhi: Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan and mother of Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan, has passed away at the age of 81. According to an IANS report, she breathed her last at her Mumbai residence. Reports suggest that she had been unwell for some time due to age-related health issues.
Before tying the knot with Sanjay Khan in 1966, Zarine had briefly worked in films such as Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali. The two reportedly met at a bus stop and soon fell in love.
Zarine’s eldest daughter, Farah Khan Ali, is married to DJ Aqeel, while her second daughter, Simone Arora, is married to businessman Ajay Arora. Their youngest daughter, Sussanne Khan, was formerly married to actor Hrithik Roshan. Their son, Zayed Khan, is married to Malaika Khan.

About 11 months ago, Zarine was seen in a vlog shared by her daughter Farah, where she treated the filmmaker-choreographer to Irani mutton kofta and gave viewers a tour of her home.
The family is yet to issue an official statement regarding her demise.

About Zarine Khan And Sanjay Khan
Zarine Khan, who had appeared in classics like Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali, married actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan in 1966.
Sanjay Khan is an actor, producer, and director known for his contribution to Hindi cinema and television. He made his debut with Rajshri Productions’ Dosti (1964), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi that year, followed by Chetan Anand’s Haqeeqat.
He went on to star in a string of successful films such as Dus Lakh, Ek Phool Do Mali, Intaquam, and Dhund. Sanjay also co-starred with his elder brother Feroz Khan in films like Upaasna, Mela, and Nagin. Later, he ventured into production and direction with films like Chandi Sona and Abdullah.
He is also remembered for directing and starring in the iconic historical television series The Sword of Tipu Sultan.
