Wipro GE Healthcare to produce AI-enabled ultrasound system in Bengaluru


Wipro GE Healthcare has launched Versana Premier R3, an AI-enabled ultrasound system, which the company claimed, would enhance clinical efficiency, accuracy, and workflow automation.

Manufactured at Wipro GE Healthcare’s PLI factory in Bengaluru, Versana Premier R3 would offer exceptional image clarity, AI-driven automation, and compatibility with 23 probes for precise diagnoses, the company claimed.

Chaitanya Sarawate, Managing Director, Wipro GE Healthcare South Asia said, “At Wipro GE Healthcare we continue to make advancements in AI, investing in foundation models that can help enhance precision care, ease clinical workflows and enable better patient outcomes.”

AI was central to building personalised, preventive, and affordable healthcare, he said.

Wipro GE Healthcare had earlier announced an investment of over ₹8,000 crore in manufacturing output and local R&D over the next five years.
