Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continued their impressive IPL 2025 campaign with a six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday, while Mumbai Indians (MI) extended their winning run with a dominant 54-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

RCB’s chase of 163 was anchored by Krunal Pandya, who blasted a brilliant 73 not out from 47 balls, guiding his team home in 18.3 overs. The chase got off to a rocky start, with RCB losing three wickets for just 26 runs. However, Pandya, supported by a steady 51 from Virat Kohli, steadied the ship. Tim David’s late fireworks (19* off 5 balls) sealed the win with nine balls to spare. Axar Patel (2/19) was the standout bowler for DC.

Earlier, RCB’s bowlers had restricted DC to 162 for 8, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/33) and Josh Hazlewood (2/36) doing the bulk of the damage. Krunal Pandya (1/28) and Yash Dayal (1/42) also contributed with key wickets.

  • Delhi Capitals: 162 for 8 in 20 overs (KL Rahul 41; Bhuveshwar Kumar 3/33).
  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 165 for 4 in 18.3 overs (Krunal Pandya 73*, Virat Kohli 51; Axar Patel 2/19).

In the earlier match, Mumbai Indians posted a commanding total of 215 for 7, led by Ryan Rickelton’s aggressive 58 off 32 balls and Suryakumar Yadav’s 54 from 28 balls.
Despite a fighting effort from Mitchell Marsh (34) and Ayush Badoni (35), LSG was bowled out for 161 in 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah (4/22) and Trent Boult (3/20) were the architects of MI’s victory, while Mayank Yadav (2/40) and Avesh Khan (2/42) were the top performers for LSG.

With these results, RCB moved to the top of the points table, while MI continued their strong run in the tournament.
