Ahead of their Indian Premier League 2025 clash against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday, Yuzvendra Chahal received a special gift from MS Dhoni, but the celebrations were hilariously cut short by teammate Glenn Maxwell‘s quick-witted banter in the Punjab Kings dressing room.

The veteran leg-spinner, who has yet to face a ball in IPL 2025 due to his frequent use as an Impact Player while bowling, was seen beaming with pride as he entered the dressing room carrying a prized bat gifted to him by CSK legend Dhoni.

However, Maxwell, who was sitting with Prabhsimran Singh, didn’t miss the opportunity to troll his teammate.
Who’s that IPL player?
“Who’s that? MS?” Maxwell asked.
“Yes,” replied a proud Chahal.
Maxwell smirked: “What are you gonna do with it?”
Chahal, mimicking a shot, said, “Me? I will play.”
To which Maxwell quipped: “You get subbed out in every game.”
The light-hearted moment was joined by youngster Priyansh Arya, who chimed in: “Koi na koi Haryana ka ladka pakka ye le lega bat [Some kid in Haryana is going to take this bat for sure].”

While the dressing room was filled with laughter, Chahal has quietly let his performances speak on the field. The leg-spinner has picked up nine wickets in as many matches and has looked sharp in the second half of the season.
