Virat Kohli caught bullying Punjab Kings bowler on stump mic - Watch

NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli’s passion and competitive edge were on full display once again during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s seven-wicket win over Punjab Kings on Sunday in Mullanpur.
But this time, it wasn’t just his bat doing the talking, with the stump mic catching Kohli delivering a sharp remark to Punjab spinner Harpreet Brar, which has since taken social media by storm.

In the heat of the chase, Kohli was heard saying, “20 saal ho gaye cricket khelte hue, aese stump thodi na ho jaunga. Tere coach ko bhi janta hoon (I’ve been playing cricket for 20 years, I’m not going to get out like that. I even know your coach).”
The clip quickly went viral, with fans debating whether the comment was classic Kohli aggression or a step too far.

Kohli, who scored an unbeaten 73 off 54 balls, was in top form as he anchored RCB’s chase of 158.
Alongside Devdutt Padikkal’s explosive 61, the duo stitched together a 103-run partnership to all but seal the game.
The win brought Bengaluru level on points with Punjab, as both teams continue to fight for a playoff spot and their elusive first IPL title.

On the bowling front, Bengaluru’s spinners Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma set up the win by keeping Punjab to 157-6.
Kohli and Padikkal then took charge with the bat, with Kohli also surpassing David Warner for the most 50-plus scores in IPL history (67).
But it’s that one sharp line to Brar that has everyone talking, a reminder that when Virat Kohli’s on the field, there’s always fire.
