NEW DELHI: The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match between Falcon Risers Hyderabad and KVN Bangalore Strikers delivered a thrilling moment that quickly has become a social media sensation.
During the game, Falcon Risers’ batsman Vishwajit Thakur smashed a powerful shot toward mid-wicket, seemingly destined for a four. However, a fielder at the boundary line leapt spectacularly to stop the ball, preventing four runs.
But the drama didn’t end there. As the fielder recovered, and the ball was thrown towards the bowler to attempt a run-out, the fielder at the non-striker’s end missed the stumps in a run out attempt and the ball went for four.
This unexpected turn resulted in six runs being awarded—four byes plus the two runs the batsmen had already taken.
Watch:

Falcon Risers Hyderabad eventually clinched a narrow six-run victory at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium. Batting first, Hyderabad struggled early, losing quick wickets and managing only 84/9 in their allotted overs.
Vishwajit Thakur played a crucial knock, scoring 26 off 19 balls, while Liton Sarkar contributed 15 off 16. Bangalore’s bowlers dominated early, with Irfan Patel picking up an impressive 4/14 and Saroj Paramanik supporting with 2/6.
Hyderabad’s top order collapsed in the first two overs, with only 10 runs on the board. However, Vishwajit and Liton steadied the innings, forming a crucial 46-run partnership.
Vishwajit’s innings ended when he edged a Pritpal Singh delivery to Saroj, and Liton fell soon after, caught while attempting an aggressive shot off Irfan’s bowling.
Captain Sambhaji Patil’s late contribution pushed Hyderabad to a defendable total.
Bangalore started their chase well but lost wickets at crucial moments. Ajaz Shaikhlal Bepari was dismissed attempting a big shot, and despite maintaining a steady scoring rate, Bangalore faltered under pressure.
In the final over, Hyderabad’s Irfan Umair held his nerve, conceding only three runs while defending 10, sealing a dramatic win for his team.
