Vidaamuyarchi OTT Release: Ajith Kumar And Trisha Krishnan Starrer To Make Digital Debut Earlier Than Expected?



Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan’s actioer  Vidaamuyarchi released in theatres on February 6, 2025. The movie received mixed reviews from audience despite being appreciated for its high octane action sequences and plot line. After enthralling netizens in theatres, the film is now all set to make its way to digital platform.

Streaming giant Netflix took to their Instagram handle to announce the arrival of Ajith’s film on OTT platform. Along with the poster, the caption read, “No breaks. No limits. Just Vidaamuyarchi. Watch Vidaamuyarchi on Netflix, out 3 March in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam!”.

As soon as the announcement was dropped, fans rejoiced and flooded the comment section. One user wrote, “Loved this movie”. Another user wrote, “Thank you netflix”. “Greatest of all time”, wrote the third user.

According to report in Sacnilk, Vidaamuyarchi collected ₹80.07 crore in India, while worldwide, the film minted ₹135.33 crore. It is written and helmed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Om Prakash and editing by N. B. Srikanth.

The film revolves around Arjun M (Ajith Kumar) trying to rescue his wife (Trisha Krishnan), who was captured by a notorious group in Azerbaijan. Apart from Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, the film includes Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav and Ramya Subramanian. It is inspired by 1997 American film Breakdown.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar will next be seen in Good Bad Ugly. The makers have kept the plot under wraps and it is just known that the action comedy flick will feature Ajith in triple roles. It also stars  Trisha Krishnan, Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev and Yogi Babu. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Abinadhan Ramanujam and editing by Vijay Velukutty. Post-theatrical run, the movie is expected to premiere on Netflix. The OTT giant has reportedly bought the movie’s digital rights for ₹95 crore.
