US Filmmaker Adam Ellick Mocking Indian Travellers Sparks Anger Among Netizens: You Are Only Jealous…



US filmmaker Adam Ellick has come under fire after his recent video mocking Indian travellers. His comments has not gone down well with the netizens and have expressed disappointment in regard to the clip he shared.

Adam Ellick took to Instagram and shared a video and in the caption it read, “The textbook landing in India for the first time. Woman: please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated. We are moving on runway.”

He further wrote, “Woman: Please remain seated and buckle up (More frustration). No, it didn’t end here. Magic male voice. The video has led to netizens expressing views on social media. One user wrote, “Everywhere. In Italy as well. and even tho we make announcements in both English and Italian they are still standing. They all believe the aircraft stops as trains do. Like 5’ and leave”. Another user wrote, “Literally happens in Canada and US too”. “This happens everywhere in the world…. … You are only jealous because you could not get up on time”. “Why is this a big deal! Ofcourse they shouldn’t do it. But I’ve seen Germans do it whenever I am travelling to Germany. Possibly many people in many countries do it!”, wrote the third user.

Adam Ellick is a correspondant and a filmmaker. He had filmed a documentary about Malala Yousafzai in 2011. He was part of the team with New York Times that won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage inside the everyday lives of Pakistanis.

He has bagged accolades including  News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Media: Arts, Lifestyle and Culture.
