Toxic Is A Banger: John Wick Action Director JJ Perry Drops One-Word Review Of Yash Starrer, Posts BTS Still

Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups is Kannada star Yash’s first project since the release of KGF: Chapter 2, a superhit film from Prashanth Neel’s cinematic universe which released in 2022. Toxic was filming for a major part of 2024 and more updates about the pan-India project are set to come to light soon. The Geetu Mohandas’ directorial also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Akshay Oberoi, Tara Sutaria and more.

As the film’s shoot drives forth, Hollywood action director JJ Perry shared a BTS still from Toxic shoot and praised the team for its work and vision.

After JJ Perry called Toxic a “banger,” lead actor and producer Yash took to social media to express his gratitude. Perry, known for his high-octane action choreography in the John Wick franchise, shared a photo of himself posing with the KGF star on Instagram and wrote, “Was a pleasure working with my friend @thenameisyash on the film #Toxic! Had a great run in India, got to work with a lot of my dear friends from all over Europe 🙂 Can’t wait for everybody to see this one. It’s a banger! So proud of what we did.”

Yash was quick to acknowledge his kind words. He commented, “My friend, working with you was straight up, raw power.”

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is the first film in India to be simultaneously shot in English and Kannada languages. The project has become the “first-ever large-scale Indian film to be conceptualised, written, and filmed in both English and Kannada”, according to a press release. Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for Moothon and Liar’s Dice. It is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
