This Week: Apple CEO Tim Cook Teases New ‘Air’ Product Launch | What We Know

California: Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday teased a new product launch under the ‘Air’ lineup. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Cook shared a post saying ‘this week’ along with a 6-second video featuring, “There’s something in the Air.”

Soon after Tim Cook’s X post, speculations began around among Apple fans, users as to what new product the technology giant is going to unveil.

Many on social media started guessing whether it will be the new MacBook Air with M4 chip, iPhone Air, iPad Air or totally something unexpected.

One user took to X and shared his wish for the next Apple product launch and said, “Please tell me it’s an iPhone 17 Pro Air version with top-of-the-line features, 6.9 inch screen OLED & at least 5000 mA battery.” However, this could be the least expected product which Apple may release, because the new phone line up is generally unveiled in September.

Many other leaks and rumours that are going around suggest that it’s going to be next generation MacBook Air with M4 chip as the company is preparing for an update.

Last month, Apple added a new member to its iPhone family as it launched iPhone 16e – replacing the SE line-up, with a refreshed design, new features including next generation A18 bionic chip (same that comes in iPhone 16 line up), Apple Intelligence, action button, bigger battery, new modem ‘C1’ chip, single but powerful 48-MP camera, bigger display among other features.

The new iPhone 16e model, which replaces SE line up, comes with a notch on the top of the display and a bigger price tag. iPhone 16e models have seen a jump of around Rs 15,000 in its price compared to the SE models.

However, the new iPhone 16e is still the cheapest smartphone in the Apple 16 line up.
