Tata AIA Life Insurance declares ₹1,842-cr. bonus for FY25

Tata AIA Life Insurance has declared a bonus of ₹1,842 crore, for policyholders of its participating insurance plans, for 2024-25.

Highest ever thus far, the bonus marks an almost 26% increase over last year’s ₹1,465 crore and set to benefit over 8.15 lakh policies.

Participating insurance plans also known as ‘Par’ plans are life covers under which the insurers share profit with policyholders by way of bonuses or dividends. The bonuses are not guaranteed but typically declared annually, depending on performance of the insurer’s participating (or with-profits) fund, the company said in a release on Wednesday.

Among other participating plans, the bonus has been declared for key participating plans such as the Diamond Savings Plan, Smart Value Income Plan, Value Income Plan and Shubh Flexi Income Plan, it said.

The “record bonus declaration underscores our commitment to honouring the trust of our policyholder, while continually rewarding them with superior returns,” Executive V-P and Appointed Actuary Kshitij Sharma said.
