“That is why publicity should also be real. So, here’s my conversation with you. Directly!! I don’t know why my eyes were teary while talking. Actually, I know it! Anupam Kher reflected on his journey in the film industry

In the video, the Special 26 actor shared that the film holds a special place in his heart for several reasons. Calling Tanvi The Great one of his greatest achievements, he highlighted that it was made with passion and courage.

Anupam Kher said, “I want to talk to all of you. This year, while celebrating my birthday in Haridwar, I was looking at the Ganga one morning, reflecting on my life and achievements. Of course, my achievements include doing 40-50 films, playing meaningful roles, and receiving the Padma Shree and the Padma Bhushan, but I believe my greatest achievement is that I have lived life on my own terms.”

He spoke about his journey, saying, “I come from a very small town, and 43 years ago, I moved to Mumbai—half bald but full of confidence. At 28, I played roles meant for 35-year-olds. People told me my career was over and that I would only get older roles, but I broke that typecasting myth. I believed that being myself would give me strength.”

In an emotional moment, Anupam Kher discussed the making of Tanvi The Great, stating, “Today, I am starting publicity for this film. It will be released in a few months. I made this film with immense courage. Courage was all I had. I also managed to secure funding in a way that, when you hear about it, you will feel proud of me.”

Kher revealed that his loneliness, which stemmed from choosing to live by his principles, gave him the strength to create Tanvi The Great.

He also announced that Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen will be part of the film. More updates on the project are yet to be released.
