Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma’s breakup rumours were rife as they deleted each other’s photos from their respective Instagram handles. However, their professional collab posts remain on their timelines. According to some reports and buzz on social media, they have broken up and plan to stay friends. The talk of the couple’s split comes after their joint appearances became less frequent even as they have reportedly removed their photos together on social media, signaling that not all is good between them.
Tamannaah and Vijay began dating in 2022. From 2023, when their film Lust Stories released, till 2024, they were snapped at public events together, blushing as paparazzi shipped them together. Many on social media commented that evil eyes struck Tamannaah and Vijay’s relationship and lamented that they are no longer together.
A source was quoted by Pinkvilla as saying, “Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma parted ways weeks ago as a couple but they plan to remain good friends. Both have been working hard in their respective schedules.” In the past, Tamannaah and Vijay have spoken highly of each other in media interactions, often hinting that theirs was headed towards a wedding in the future.
Tamannaah had a policy against intimate and kissing scenes in movies until Lust Stories 2, in which she shared the screen space with Vijay Varma. She said that no other actor had made her feel more safe than Vijay, when they were shooting for Sujoy Ghosh’s segment in Netflix India’s anthology.
“I’ve never felt so safe around an actor. And that’s what’s really important for an actor. You need to feel that kind of safety. It’s like a jump you’re taking, especially in a film like this. He just, from the moment go, made me feel so safe that I wasn’t scared to say anything, do anything, emote in a certain way. He just made it feel so easy. So that’s definitely something I love about him,” Tamanaah said, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble. Vijay said that Tamannaah is very “simple” and “radiant”. In a follow-up comment, the Mirzapur actor called her his “safe space”. Their social media banter was a delight for the fans.
