Sankranthiki Vasthunam Beats Streaming Viewership Record Of Hanu-Man, RRR In Just 12 Hours



After emerging as a big hit at the box office, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has continued its glorious run on OTT. The crime comedy starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary has set a new viewership record on ZEE5 where it premiered on March 1.

According to reports, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has clocked in more streaming numbers than SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man and became the most-viewed film on ZEE5 in the first 12 hours after it made it debuted on the platform on Saturday. The film is expected to be watched by millions at home in the coming days.

The streaming platform announced that Sankranthiki Vasthunam has made history by surpassing the previous viewership records held by Hanu-Man and RRR. It has become the fastest movie to reach 100 million streaming minutes on ZEE5, achieving this milestone in just 12 hours. During this period, more than 1.3 million viewers tuned in to watch the film.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is directed by Anil Ravipudi and minted ₹182.85 crore during its box office run in India and over ₹250 crore worldwide. While almost all of its collection came from the Telugu markets,the film is streaming on ZEE5 in multiple languages like Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

Those who have not watched the film upon its release can enjoy it in the language of their choice on streaming now. Another film that has notched up a tremendous viewership on ZEE5 is Sanya Malhotra’s Mrs. It is a remake of Kerala State Award-winning Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen. It has accumulated more than 500 million watched minutes on the platform after releasing on February 7.
