Samay Raina Confirms Postponement Of India Tour As India’s Got Latent Controversy Surrounds Him

Samay Raina, who is currently in hot waters over the use of abusive and obscene language on his YouTube show India’s Got Latent,  officially announced the postponement of his India tour. The comic’s India tour was supposed to kick off soon but after the Latent controversy blew up, his Gujarat gigs were cancelled due to protests, followed by the calling off the New Delhi show in mid-March at the Talkatora Stadium.

Samay has now confirmed that his entire India tour, Samay Raina Unfiltered, has been rescheduled. He was set to perform in cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Goa , Kolkata and more. However, the tour now stands postponed. Confirming the same, Samay wrote, “Hello guys, I am rescheduling my India tour. You all will get the refunds shortly, see you soon.”

This came after Samay received a fresh notice from the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in connection to the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. The comedian has been asked to appear before the cyber cell on March 24. He was first summoned in February, which he skipped citing his professional commitments abroad. He was summoned for the second time on March 19 but did not appear before the authorities.

Samay, along with YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, influencer and actress Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid and comedian Jaspreet Singh have been under fire over obscene comments related to parents, sex and much more in an episode of India’s Got Latent, which aired in February. Subsequently, all episodes of the parody roast show were also taken down from the app and Samay’s YouTube channel.
