Rajamouli Case Will Be Buried: Director’s ‘Friend’ U Srinivasa Rao’s Suicide Leads To Divided Reactions On Internet

SS Rajamouli has found himself in a developing controversy after a selfie video of an alleged friend, U Srinivasa Rao, accusing the RRR director of his suicide surfaced on social media. Rao claims, that he made before he took his own life in Hyderabad, shocked one and all. However, many on social media called it a “personal vendetta” on the deceased’s behalf. However, some agree that Rajamouli is a big name in the filmmaking industry and if there is any truth to these claims, they will never come to light.

Rao, who was the Executive Producer on Rajamouli’s 2007 directorial Yamadonga starring Jr NTR, claimed in his alleged final video that he was a friend of the director since 1990. He claimed that their relationship soured after they had an argument in 2007. Rao said that Rajamouli “ruined” his life and urged the authorities to conduct a lie detector test on the latter.

Rao also alleged that a woman was involved in the matter. “He asked me to sacrifice my love for her, and while I didn’t agree at first, I did later on. He believed I’d told people about this, and he began torturing me after we got into an argument,” he said. While allegations on Rajamouli came as a shock to many, some said that “people as big as Rajamouli” would get out of this and the matter would quickly be “buried”.

“It’s about money. That guy has gone too low brinhing his wife into the matter,” read a comment on social media. Another netizen shared, “This would be buried way too deep in telugu sub and media section. They treat SS as Godfather. Also this video is more like a rant. IDK if anything will come out of it (sic).”

Meanwhile, Rajamouli is yet to issue a clarification on the matter. In the alleged last video, Rao also mentioned that the director’s brother-in-law and long-time collaborator MM Keeravaani and director Hanu Raghavapudi also know about the close proximity between him and the RRR director.
